Condition
Fatty Liver Disease
Fatty liver disease is when extra fat builds up in liver cells, often with excess weight and insulin resistance, and can inflame the liver. Retatrutide, a triple hormone agonist, has the strongest evidence, and liver fat fell by roughly 82 to 86 percent in a 48-week trial, with about nine in ten people reaching normal levels. That trial was mid-stage and included only 98 people, so larger, longer studies are still needed.
