Condition

Graves’ Disease

Graves' disease is an autoimmune condition in which the body makes antibodies that push the thyroid to produce too much thyroid hormone, and it is the most common cause of an overactive thyroid. Among supplements, vitamin D has the clearest trial finding: bone density improved in people after Graves' disease treatment. The evidence is limited, though, and it comes from a small number of small studies.
