Condition
Kashin-Beck Disease (KBD)
Kashin-Beck disease is a long-lasting bone and joint disorder found in parts of China, Siberia, and North Korea, in which cartilage breaks down and damages bone, causing joint pain, stiffness, and shortened fingers and limbs in children. Little research on supplements for it has been reviewed here so far, so there are no trial findings to report yet. Selenium deficiency is a major contributing factor, alongside possible grain mycotoxins and low iodine.
