Condition
Opioid Use Disorder
Opioid use disorder is a long-term medical condition in which opioid use becomes a pattern that causes real distress and disrupts daily life, driven by lasting changes in the brain's reward and stress systems. Supplements such as NAC and omega-3 fatty acids have drawn the most interest for cravings and mood in recovery, but little research on them has been reviewed here so far. Any interest in them is early, and they are not a substitute for established medical care.
