Condition
Periodontitis
Periodontitis is a serious gum infection in which bacteria and the body's own inflammatory response damage the soft tissue and bone that hold teeth in place, and it can lead to tooth loss. Among supplements, vitamin D and coenzyme Q10 have the strongest support, with the evidence rated moderate in hundreds of participants. Resveratrol trials found blood glucose improved, but that is a different outcome from gum health, and the evidence there is limited.
