Condition
Subfertility
Subfertility means conceiving takes longer than expected, arising from ovulation problems, blocked tubes, endometriosis, low sperm count or motility, or sometimes no identified cause. The evidence is strongest for folate and myo-inositol, the latter especially in PCOS-related infertility, while kisspeptin-54 injections stimulated luteinizing hormone release in healthy women and those with hypothalamic amenorrhea. That kisspeptin work measured hormone release rather than pregnancies, and in one study repeated dosing made the response fade.

| LH Secretion Kisspeptin-54 potently stimulates LH release in healthy women and those with hypothalamic amenorrhea, with effects similar to or exceeding exogenous GnRH. | Improves (the measure goes up) | Large effect | 10 studies | |||
| FSH Secretion Acute kisspeptin administration increases FSH secretion as part of the coordinated gonadotropin response through the hypothalamic-pituitary axis. | Improves (the measure goes up) | Moderate effect | 10 studies | |||
| Reproductive Hormone Recovery (Hypothalamic Amenorrhea) Twice-weekly kisspeptin-54 administration for 8 weeks stimulated reproductive hormone release in women with hypothalamic amenorrhea, though chronic administration shows tachyphylaxis. | Improves (the measure goes up) | Moderate effect | 9 studies | |||
