Alpha-ketoglutarate is a molecule your cells make during the Krebs cycle, the process that turns food into energy, and it also helps move nitrogen and build amino acids. In one study, biological age estimated from DNA methylation came out about eight years lower, but the evidence is very limited. Only 42 people took part and there was no placebo group, so the result can't show the supplement caused it.
