Supplement
Artichoke extract comes from the leaves of the artichoke plant, and its compound cynarin helps stimulate bile production and flow, which supports digestion. People look at it for general liver health, and studies found liver enzyme readings improved, though the evidence is limited. Elsewhere, results were thin: one tiny study of 18 people saw blood flow go up, while larger studies found no clear difference in HDL cholesterol or blood glucose.
