Guided imagery is a mind-body practice in which a recording or a person leads you to picture calm, vivid scenes, a mental focus that can shift the body's stress response toward relaxation. Little research on it has been reviewed here so far, so there are no findings to report yet. Until more studies are reviewed, how well it works remains an open question.
