Supplement
Rosmarinic acid is a plant compound found in rosemary, perilla and other herbs, where it acts as an antioxidant and helps calm inflammatory signaling in the body. People mostly look at it for seasonal allergies, and in a small trial of 29 people, allergy symptoms and nasal congestion both eased, though the evidence is limited. That is only one small study, so it is too early to say how well the results hold up or who they apply to.
