Seth Pratt
Seth Pratt edits Winnowleaf. He is a health coach (AFPA), not a doctor.
Credential
Certified Health and Wellness Coach, a certificate from AFPA (American Fitness Professionals & Associates). It is a health-coaching certificate. It is not a medical degree or a licence to diagnose or treat.
What he does, and what he doesn't
Seth is a health coach, not a physician or other licensed clinician, and he does not diagnose or treat anyone. This site reports what published studies found and how strong that evidence is. It is not medical advice.
He decides what the site covers and the rules every page follows, and he answers for what it publishes. He doesn't give personal advice. For your own health, your medicines or a supplement you are thinking of starting, talk to a clinician who knows you.
How a page is researched
Every page starts from a table of findings. Each finding has an evidence grade and links to the PubMed studies it rests on. The grades are explained on How we grade.
Pages are written with AI assistance and checked against PubMed. On a page he has rewritten, the one marked “Last reviewed”, every cited study was opened on PubMed and each claim was checked against that study's abstract. A number that isn't in the abstract isn't printed, and studies that don't match the topic are left out.
How a page is checked
- A wording check blocks any claim that a supplement treats, cures or prevents a disease.
- Findings are re-read against their studies. A finding that doesn't hold up is corrected, or hidden until it is.
- Counts on a page come from the database when the page is built. None is typed by hand.
- Buy links never change a grade. Which supplements a page lists comes from the evidence.
