Condition
Candidemia and Invasive Candidiasis
Candidemia and invasive candidiasis are infections where Candida yeast, normally harmless on skin and in the gut, reaches the bloodstream and organs. The evidence is strong for anidulafungin, which achieved treatment success in 76% of people versus 60% with fluconazole, and for rezafungin, which matched caspofungin at day 14. Rezafungin showed similarity rather than an advantage, so it looks comparable, not better.
