Invasive Aspergillosis
Invasive aspergillosis is a serious infection where Aspergillus mold, breathed in from the air, grows in the lungs and can spread, mostly in people with weakened immune defenses. Caspofungin has moderate evidence, and some people whose infection resisted other antifungals responded to it. That rested on a small trial of under 100 patients, and because it slows fungal growth rather than killing it, it has mostly been used after other options.
