Condition
Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease Type 1A (CMT1A)
Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 1A is an inherited condition of the peripheral nerves, the ones outside the brain and spinal cord, that brings gradual muscle weakness and wasting, usually starting in the feet and legs, along with numbness, tingling and high-arched feet. Little research on supplements for it has been reviewed here so far, so there are no trial findings to report yet. Vitamin D, acetyl-L-carnitine and B vitamins are the ones most often discussed, but that reflects interest rather than proven results.
