Condition
Dehydration
Dehydration happens when the body loses more fluid than it takes in, which disturbs the water balance that temperature control, nutrient transport and waste removal depend on. Electrolyte blends and sodium have the strongest evidence as rehydration aids, along with potassium, glucose and zinc, which helps with diarrheal illness. Little research on these has been reviewed here so far, so it is too early to describe specific trial findings.
