Condition

Flu

Flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and lungs, bringing fever, body aches, and deep tiredness. People most often look at vitamin D and elderberry, and a meta-analysis of elderberry examined upper respiratory symptoms, while two small analyses found asthma symptoms improved with vitamin D. Still, the vitamin D evidence is limited and neither result tested flu itself, so the picture remains unsettled.
