Condition
Frailty
Frailty is a state of reduced resilience in which a minor event, like an infection or a medication change, can trigger a big drop in everyday function. The evidence is rated strongest for protein and vitamin D, though whey protein trials in about 1,400 people found no clear difference in function. A small zinc study found function improved, but that evidence is limited.
