Condition

Gout

Gout is a form of inflammatory arthritis in which high blood uric acid forms crystals in joints, causing sudden, severe pain, swelling, and redness. Vitamin C and tart cherry have the most support, with moderate evidence, yet a trial of tart cherry in 50 people found no clear difference in gout symptoms. That was a single small study, so the picture is still unsettled.
