Condition
Hyperemesis Gravidarum
Hyperemesis gravidarum is severe nausea and vomiting in pregnancy that goes beyond typical morning sickness, causing dehydration, weight loss and electrolyte imbalances. Vitamin B6 and ginger have the strongest evidence among supplements, and in nine ginger studies involving 321 people, nausea symptoms eased. Those studies were small, and the evidence for ginger was moderate, so how well it works in the most severe cases remains unclear.
