Condition
Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy (ICP)
Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy is a liver condition of the third trimester in which bile acids build up in the blood, causing intense itching, especially on the palms and soles, and it clears up after delivery. Little research on supplements for it has been reviewed here so far, so there are no trial findings to report yet. Vitamins K, D and E are discussed because cholestasis can interfere with absorbing fat-soluble vitamins, but that is a rationale rather than a result.
