Condition
Joint Pain
Joint pain is aching, stiffness or swelling in a joint, caused by things like cartilage wear in osteoarthritis, immune-driven inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis, injury or gout. Among supplements, the evidence is strongest for omega-3 fatty acids, with moderate support for glucosamine and chondroitin, which have been studied mostly for knee pain. One small ashwagandha study of 60 people found osteoarthritis symptoms improved, but that evidence is limited, and results may vary with the cause.
