Condition
Nocturnal Enuresis
Nocturnal enuresis is bedwetting during sleep, which happens when a child's body makes a lot of urine overnight, the bladder holds little, or sleep is too deep to notice a full bladder. Among options studied, the evidence is strongest for desmopressin, and trials found about 2.2 fewer wet nights per week than placebo. Still, only about 35% of children became completely dry, and a review also described cases of severe low blood sodium.
