Condition

Obsessive-Compulsive disorder (OCD)

OCD is a mental health condition in which unwanted, intrusive thoughts lead to repetitive behaviors done to ease anxiety. N-acetyl cysteine has the most research, with moderate evidence as an add-on to standard care, while inositol had limited evidence, with small studies finding anxiety symptoms improved. Those inositol studies included just 13 people and focused on panic disorder and binge eating rather than OCD, so the results are early.
