Proximal Myotonic Myopathy
Proximal myotonic myopathy, also called myotonic dystrophy type 2, is a genetic muscle disorder where a gene change causes weakness in the hips, thighs and shoulders, plus muscles that are slow to relax. Vitamin D and creatine have the best evidence among supplements, and in a small study of 20 people, creatine eased fatigue. That evidence is limited, and there are no trial results here for vitamin D yet.
