Rugby Performance

Rugby is a contact sport that demands strength, power, speed, endurance and recovery from repeated impacts. Creatine and caffeine carry the strongest evidence for sports like this, and small trials found creatine improved alertness while sodium bicarbonate improved anaerobic capacity. Those specific findings are limited, though, since the studies were small and some bicarbonate work involved swimmers rather than rugby players.
