Symptoms of Withdrawal
Withdrawal symptoms are the physical and emotional discomfort that can follow when the body, adapted to a substance such as opioids or alcohol, suddenly has less of it, leaving the nervous system overactive and out of balance. Among supplements, delta sleep-inducing peptide has the most to show, and studies found opioid withdrawal severity went down. The evidence is limited, though: the research is older, dating to the 1980s, and it comes from a small number of studies with 167 people in all.
