Supplement
Bulbine natalensis is a succulent plant native to southern Africa, and its extracts are sold as a supplement, though it is not a nutrient the body needs. Research on metabolic health is very limited so far: the only result available looked at kidney function, and it found no clear difference in 36 people. That is a small group and a single result, so it says little about whether the plant does anything else.
