Condition
Hyperuricemia
Hyperuricemia means too much uric acid in the blood, produced when the body breaks down purines from certain foods and drinks, and it can lead to gout and kidney stones. Vitamin C and tart cherry extract have moderate evidence, and vitamin C lowered uric acid in studies. A small trial of tart cherry concentrate found no clear difference in gout symptoms, and IP6 lowered uric acid in only 25 people.
