Antioxidant Status
Antioxidant status describes how well your body's defenses, such as superoxide dismutase and glutathione, keep reactive molecules called free radicals in check. The evidence is strongest for copper and manganese, where SOD activity went up, and limited for piperine, where trials pairing it with curcumin or turmeric found oxidative stress markers improved. Most other supplements rest on small trials, and some mostly on animal or lab work.
